Who is Hootenany? Hootenany is a magical dragon from our childhood. In stories told by my father, Hootenany often appeared on long car trips to entertain us from the top of the car. He could change the color of his dots, maybe depending on how hungry he was at the moment. He mainly ate hay but had been known to sniff and lick his lips around particularly pesky children. Sometimes he would fly off to the nearest barn to have a snack and come back when we were asking (again), 'Are we almost there?'. His adventures always entertained us, and he remains a fond memory of special times shared with family.
